How We Choose

Every piece,
chosen by hand.

We do not carry everything. We only carry what we would wear ourselves, pieces that combine elegance, quality, beauty, and lasting value.

Home ◆ How We Choose

Our Process

Four things we check,
every single time.

The material comes first

Before anything else we look at what a piece is actually made of. We work with solid 14k and 18k gold and 925 sterling silver, because those hold up to daily wear. If we cannot confirm what something is made of, we do not carry it.

Step one

We inspect it ourselves

Every piece is checked by hand before it is offered to you: clasps, settings, finish, and weight. Anything that does not pass does not go out. You are never the first person to look closely at it.

Step two

We tell you exactly what it is

Metal, purity, and size, all stated plainly on the live and in your messages. No vague descriptions, no guessing. If you ask us a question we cannot answer, we will say so rather than invent one.

Step three

We pack it like a gift

Each order is checked once more, wrapped, and sent with the same attention we would give something meant for someone we love. Because for many of you, it is.

What the numbers
actually mean.

14k and 18k gold. Pure gold is 24k, but it is far too soft to wear. 14k is 58.3% gold and 18k is 75% gold, mixed with other metals for strength. 18k is richer in colour; 14k is harder and more scratch-resistant. Both are solid gold throughout.

925 sterling silver. 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% other metals added for durability. That is the international standard for quality silver jewelry. It will tarnish naturally over time, and it polishes back beautifully.

Care

Three habits that
keep it looking new.

Good jewelry is more durable than people assume and more sensitive than people expect. These three things matter more than anything else.

Last on, first off

Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before swimming or cleaning. Chlorine and bleach are what genuinely damage gold and silver alloys.

Store pieces separately

Metal scratches metal. A soft pouch per piece, or a lined box with dividers, prevents most of the marks that jewelry picks up over the years.

Clean it gently

Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft cloth. For sterling silver that has tarnished, a proper silver polishing cloth brings it back. Skip the harsh chemicals entirely.

Questions Welcome

Not sure which is right for you?

Whether it is gold or silver, 14k or 18k, or sizing, just ask. We would rather spend ten minutes explaining than have you buy the wrong thing.
